The rotary drum vacuum filters, a workhorse of the chemical process industry for many years has been designed for long life and easy maintenance. These filters involve half of the drum being submerged in the slurry and other half being above it. The Filter Cloth or belt winds around the drum and as the drum rotates, the slurry is sucked into the cloth.
